Overview

BaldCheck ("we", "our", "the app") is a shave reminder app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

On the app:

• Your baldness stage selection (stored locally on your device)
• Your last shave date (stored locally on your device)
• Anonymous RevenueCat user ID (for managing purchases)

On the website:

• Recipient and sender names when gifting (optional, stored in our database)
• Payment information is processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not create user accounts
• We do not collect email addresses
• We do not track your location
• We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs
• We do not sell any data to third parties

Local Storage

All app preferences (baldness stage, shave timer, onboarding status) are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to use the home screen widget, which reads from a shared app group on your device only.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled by Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. Web purchases are handled by Stripe. We store license keys in our database to validate gift redemptions. We do not store payment card information.

Notifications

BaldCheck sends local push notifications to remind you when it's time to shave. These are scheduled entirely on your device. We do not send remote push notifications or marketing messages.

Third-Party Services

• RevenueCat — manages in-app purchases and entitlements
• Stripe — processes web payments
• Apple App Store — processes in-app payments

Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

Data Deletion

You can delete all local app data by using the "Reset App" option in Settings. To request deletion of any server-side data (gift keys, baldcheck records), contact us at [email protected].
